I called a friend of mine the other day, and I told him that I needed to talk to him about something very important.  He asked me what it was, and I told him that I was in a pretty bad position.  I needed to apply for one of those secured home loans so I could make my first home payment, but I didn’t have anything that I could put up for an asset.  I asked my friend if I could put his car on there.  It would require him to sign off on it.  I told him that I would not lose his car, I just needed something to get started.
