I know a lot of people who identify as being exmormon, but really they are people who just stopped going to church and they are still on the records. So technically they are still Mormon, but they don’t feel like they are still Mormon. Most of them didn’t want to hurt their families by resigning or they felt like they were giving the church too much consideration to spend their precious time asking to have their name removed. Some of them are bugged they are still visited though, but it’s hard to tell the difference between a person who is taking a break or one who wants to be gone for good unless they say something.
