E-bike has some disadvantages too one of which is that it has range limited to around eighteen to twenty five miles but development in battery technologies are pushing it up to forty miles in other cases. It takes from two to eight hours before the batteries got fully charged depending on the type of the battery. The cost of the new battery is high and the disposal of the old battery offsets some of advantages of positive green transport. electric bikes are much heavier particularly the cheaper ones that use lead acid batteries that give total bike weights over thirty kilogram. It will make pedalling without assistance hard and it is a real strain in carrying the bike.
