Dog Stuff Abounds

June 30th, 2009 by admin

Dogs really are considered a part of the family and we try to include them in many of our activities. This means that we have accumulated a great deal of dog stuff through the years. It is amazing the amount of advertising there is that gets directed towards dog owners and pet owners in general. The marketers know that people love their pets and are willing to spend a great deal of money on them. It seems that each holiday season there is more and more dog stuff in the stores.

This past winter season I could not believe my eyes when I was in the accessory section of a national department store. At first I thought there was a new section of doll clothing that was placed in this section. Upon closer examination I realized that the clothes were for dogs. Along with the clothes there were beds, toys, designer dishes and other dog stuff. This is a store that does not ordinarily have a pet section. I asked one of the sales clerks when this section of dog stuff had been added.

She stated that it was part of their holiday campaign nationwide. It seems that people were requesting more items that they could purchase, not only for their dog, but for the dogs of their friends. I jokingly asked if this did not snub cat owners, but I was told that the cat merchandise was on the opposite side of the display I was looking at.

The dog stuff included very elaborate outfits for the holidays. Velvet dresses, satin off the shoulder cocktail dresses, and the more traditional knit sweaters. There were also collars that were studded with sequins and stones. I could tell that the sales clerk was not thrilled with this new merchandise. I commented that our female dog would certainly prefer precious stones.

When I said this she lead me over to the fine jewelry counter and showed me a display of precious and semi precious collars. I could not believe what I was seeing. I knew that there were specialty stores and catalogs that handled this kind of dog stuff, but I never thought that it would be featured in a national department store. The clerk mentioned that they had a large display of Halloween costumes in the fall along with special treats for the four legged trick or treater’s.

I came home and told my husband about the display of small dog clothes and dog sit stay paraphernalia. He commented that we might be recipients of some of the items, because our family members and friends know that we pamper our dogs. I told him that if we did get something I hoped it would be the 14 carat gold collar with the pearl pendant.

Personalized Golf Shoe Bag Makes Great Golf Gift

June 30th, 2009 by admin

I like to find presents that are practical or functional for the person I’m going to give them to.  That means I need to match my gifts to the gift recipient’s interests and hobbies.

For example, if I’m buying for a golf loving friend, I might invest in a personalized golf shoe bag as a gift I know they’ll use.  I mean you need to change out of those golf shoes as soon as you leave the course and rather than have them rattle around your trunk, having a nice shoe bag to hold them just makes sense.  If your budget is real tight, consider getting one of the inexpensive shoe bags without any personalization from The Golf Collection.

All You Need To Do Is Search

June 29th, 2009 by admin

As most of you know there are many different web pages available to look at online. Many of them are selling products. If you were to get online and search for bikes and accessories one thing you would run across is hitch bike racks. They are a top seller when it comes to bike accessories. I know if i were to travel with bikes, that would be one thing i would be buying. There isn’t one person I know that owns one. I suggested to my brother to buy one, because he could really use one. He is now looking into it.

Can business debt help be helpful?

June 29th, 2009 by admin

Of course it can, you need to investigate the possibility first.

However in all honesty most businesses that come to me for help just need a crash course in business 101 and a bit of help in looking after there finances. The business debt help programs that we could potentially put you on to are for people that really have got themselves into a big pickle.

The reason I don’t suggest them unless you really need them is because they can have negative effects on things like your credit score and be tough to deal with angry creditors that want to be payed their money.

For Just a Few Bucks I Bought a Power Washer

June 28th, 2009 by admin

We went garage sale shopping the other Saturday as we do on most weekends. I love to look for people’s old junk and good deals. I am pretty handy so I can take mowers, tillers, snow blower, and such and fix them like new again. Last weekend I found a power washer that some old couple was getting rid of. Turns out the old fella did not use the power washer except for a time or two and then he had a stroke so was unable to do anything else with it. The power washer had been sitting in the garage for several years and when they went to have the garage sale they threw it out there for twenty five bucks. He said he had not started it for a couple of years and did not know if it would work or not so I got him to take fifteen dollars for it. I got the power washer home and all it took was dumping the old gas out of it and cleaning up the spark plug which had rusted a little bit. After that, two pulls on the start cord of the power washer and it fired right up. That day for fifteen bucks and about an hour of work I power washed the house and deck.

Evening Entertainment

June 28th, 2009 by admin

We were watching television when a frantic honking split the air, accompanied by the sound of squealing brakes. Then there was a tremendous crash that sent the birds flying out of their trees in fright, followed by the painful sound of metal twisting and sliding. We ran out into the street and saw a truck turned on its side in a nearby vacant lot. Its cargo of Summer baby monitors was scattered all over the street. Some people ran to the driver’s cab and pulled the man out. He was dazed but unhurt, muttering about a kitten that had suddenly run out in front of the truck.

How Expensive Would a Tampa FL Chiropractor Be?

June 27th, 2009 by admin

My mother is in some pain, but says that she really can’t afford to pay to go and see a doctor or a chiropractor to help her with her back. I really don’t like the idea of her putting up with the pain if there is something that can be done. Can anyone tell me how expensive a Tampa FL chiropractor would be? I am thinking of sending her the money so that she doesn’t have to worry about the cost and will go for the necessary treatments. Hopefully she will agree to this if I can find a good place for her to go.

Blue host review on their hosting services.

June 27th, 2009 by admin

Most poeple are aware of the name blue host, but I think that most have never really had first hand knowledge of their potential or how they break down as a company.

It is true that they are a very large organisation and I guess it is fair to say that this can sometime be good and sometimes be bad. What you need to remember is that they only have one type of hosting account and that is why i want to write this blue host review, so that people will be clear on why they are different from other budget hosts out there.
