SUV Gas Hogging Qualities

July 17th, 2008 by admin

The biggest problem with this project, of course, was coming up with a definition for what an SUV is. A car like the Saturn Outlook, for example, might be considered an SUV but might not. Would a crossover car qualify for the best gas mileage SUV or a gem of a hypermiling driving vehicle? It is pretty hard to tell, and my friend couldn't decide. In a lot of ways his whole project was a waste of time. It did have one good effect, however. Researching the best gas mileage SUV really got him thinking. For the amount of money that he could spend buying a new SUV, he could get something that was really fuel-efficient such as a Honda hybrid car. He came to realize that he didn't really need an SUV. He didn't have much to carry around, and he didn't go off-road very often. Instead, he invested his money in a fuel-efficient car. It might not be as big and overbearing, but it is a better investment in the long term.

Diesel Chip Fuel Consumption

May 25th, 2008 by admin

To the inexperienced, gas mileage diesel chips may probably sound like some kind of disc shaped soluble preservative one would add to diesel fuel. But in reality is not the truth. A gas mileage diesel chip is an electronic device you can install into your car’s computer basically for more power and better gas mileage.

Everyone knows that most of the modern cars have a computerized “brain” that controls the internal workings of the car. This brain is known as an Electronic Control Unit (ECU), it controls things such as the fuel and air ratio. Adding a performance chip will help the engine to perform at a higher level while still keeping fuel consumption at minimum.

Understanding the Fuel Economy Guide

April 2nd, 2008 by admin

You can increase the fuel economy and save hundreds of dollars on your gas costs.
· Save money with your vehicle

Always buy a fuel-efficient car so that it costs less to run.

· Keep your vehicle well maintained

A poorly maintained car gives less gas mileage fuel economy. Always check the filters and keep it clean and note that spark plugs should always be in good condition

· Use proper inflated tires

Underinflated tires are dangerous and they gulp down the fuel economy, therefore keep the tires well balanced and aligned.

· Buy gas from wholesale club

Some gas clubs offer their members discounts of up to 10% per gallon. So join such clubs for gas mileage fuel economy.

Lemon Laws

February 24th, 2008 by admin

So I think I’ve been ripped off, and I’m going to have to look into the local lemon laws. Seriously, I’m sick and tired of businesses trying to break it off in their customers, and I’m not putting up with it any more.
I know enough about Massachusetts Lemon Laws to know that I’m in the right here. That dealer is going to rue the day he tried to mess with me.
One thing is for sure - I’ll never be doing business this this guy again, or anyone else at that place, for that matter.

Buying an Extended Car Warranty

February 9th, 2008 by admin

If your car’s manufacturer warranty is about to expire, it is a good idea to start shopping for an extended car warranty. Having an extended car warranty will give you  peace of mind, knowing that your car is well-covered. And in shopping for an extended car warranty, make sure to do a thorough research to get the best deal possible. Check what  is included in the coverage, like car rentals when your car is under coverage, or car towing when your car breaks down in the middle of the road. Also check the excess that you have to pay for every service. A high excess means its not a good extended car warranty deal.
