Regarding Lean Manufacturing Techniques

July 13th, 2008 by admin

So I’ve been growing more and more interested in
Lean Manufacturing Techniques lately. Our company is in dire need of improvements in efficiency, and I think that these methods could help us.
I’ve been reading up all over the web on Lean Manufacturing In the Medical Device Industry. The adjustment process would be painful, but I think we can manage it.
I’d much rather improve our efficiency locally than resort to mass layoffs our overseas outsourcing.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say about this down the line.

Considering Lean Manufacturing Principles

June 20th, 2008 by admin

These past few days I’ve been tasked with researching
Lean Manufacturing Principles for our company. So far, I’ve liked what I have learned.
From what I can tell, Lean Manufacturing In the Medical Device Industry would be of such great benefit for us that it would be worth the difficult changes we’d have to make.
I’d much rather improve our efficiency locally than resort to mass layoffs our overseas outsourcing.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say about this down the line.

Some Time-Tested Restaurant Marketing Tips

May 7th, 2008 by admin

Your restaurant can do well with good word of mouth advertising. So you see a great way to market your restaurant is through your customers. The best restaurant marketing tip is to prepare food that suits the taste buds of your customers and keeps them healthy too. According to the director of the Nutrition Policy Center for Science in the Public Interest, healthy food on your menu can attract customers.

This prompts the parents to bring their children to your restaurant. Understand the parents' expectations and prepare the food accordingly. Another tip is to be creative in your presentation and production… Think about your best dining experience.  All the basics were there but that something special was also there to give you that memorable dining experience.  Give the customers that something special which they can not be found anywhere else. This will bring them back to your restaurant again and keep them buzzing all over town.

The Goals Of A Data Warehouse Model

March 21st, 2008 by admin

A Data Warehouse Model is more than just a specific source for decision making information and guidance. It provides the structure for an all encompassing strategy for creating decision support systems and knowledge based applications. The data warehouse model should provide the framework that supports daily tactical decision making as well as long term planning and strategizing. Through enabling a business wide data source to connect to information from a multitude of sources, data warehouse models lead to a number of uses such as strategic analysis. Business leaders must be able to use the data warehouse model to lend insight for such tactical objectives as trend identification, forecasting, competitive analysis and target market research.

6 Sigma Online

February 26th, 2008 by admin

Lately I’ve been wondering a lot about 6 sigma online. I keep hearing about other businesses cleaning up their operations with six sigma programs, and I wonder if we shouldn’t try it.
From what I’ve seen, Six Sigma Green Belt Training looks like it might be just what the doctor ordered for us. We’ve been stagnating for too long.
One thing is for sure, 6 sigma online has worked wonders for a lot of companies.

Six Sigma

February 14th, 2008 by admin

I’ve been told the best way for a company to gets its act together is with six sigma. I wonder if we shouldn’t check out six sigma programs as a way of streamlining our operation.
I’ve been surfing the net looking at options for Lean Six Sigma Certification. It’s not cheap, that’s for sure, but the potential cost savings look like they might justify the price.
I’ve seen six sigma turn around some pretty shady operations. It can’t hurt to try it.
