Count the Calories in Your Dog’s Meals

March 27th, 2012 by admin

You have to count the calories in your dog’s diet if he has a weight or health problem. Most people ignore the serving instructions; dumping the kibble or plopping the meal onto the feeding bowl without proper portioning could mess with your pooch’s stomach. This is particularly applicable to special formulations like Royal Canin Sensitivity Control; you should always read the feeding instructions to ensure your dog receives adequate amounts of nutrients per serving. The caloric content differs between wet and dry food varieties, so you’ll have to be conscious of the servings if you’re alternating both types into your dog’s meal. Consult a vet to ensure you’re feeding your dog portions appropriate to his health, age, and breed.

My Analysis On “Oldest Baby Boomers Face Jobs Bust”

March 27th, 2012 by admin

I recommended your post by mistake. I wanted to actually do a thumbs down. A 60 year old person of any race will seldom be the best qualified for any job unless its lobbying or being a lawmaker. And both those jobs and careers are actually a gateway for entering into the business of legalized corruption.

Very few companies fill their executive or professional ranks based on equality and diversity. Actually only a very few specialized jobs require that it be filled with the best candidate. For other regular jobs there would be a range of candidates all of whom will be able to get the job done. More often than not its contacts that get people the job.

My View On “Israeli Leader, Obama Clash”

March 24th, 2012 by admin

No, they’re not. The Israelis are borrowing money on the international market at favorable rates because of U.S. loan guarantees. They are also buying a lot of U.S. military gear. They also give back a lot of their military technology to the Pentagon. They also provide first rate intelligence in a region where the U.S. intelligence services are quite weak.

Israel is a net benefit for the U.S., not a liability like most of the other Middle Eastern countries. Remember Saudi Arabia? Our buddies? 15 of whose young men flew over here and knocked down the Twin Towers a few years back?

Some Thoughts On “An Economic Time Bomb”

March 23rd, 2012 by admin

Charles Ostrum, dear boy, you obviously didn’t read the article or either you didn’t understand it or either you are so far gone into that nightmare of blaming Bush, even to blaming Bush for the mustard stain on Obama’s tie or either you adhere to Goebbel’s philosophy of lies.

Tax revenue increased under Bush, and at one point the Bush deficit was actually in the range of maybe reducing it. But with Obama at the helm, he has and is taking the deficit to new heights to a point that the U.S. will never recover. The past is gone, nothing to do about it.

The article is what may and probably will happen when the tax cuts expire next year. You should take note, it will affect you.

I am seriously thinking of dumping all my stock advice this year (6 figures) and take the money and run because if Obama maintains this track of destroying the economy, there won’t be any stock worth selling next year. And since I am a leading edge Baby Boomer, I probably am representative of my fellow boomers.

It could be a very bad 2011 indeed.

Try re-reading the article Charles and take your head out of the sand.

A Commentary On “U.S. Steps Lightly in Google”

March 21st, 2012 by admin

It is not easy for the United States take sides in Google Inc.’s battle with China, if Google’s accusation has not established a fact or hypothesis as true that Chinese government was behind the attacks.

Even Google’s legal advice forum counselor, who was interviewed by NPR, has not provided any direct evidence that Chinese government was behind the attacks. He claimed that only Chinese government has direct interesting to the file that is an assumption, not the evidence. It will not have a chance to stand a trial basis of an assumption without offering in proof of an alleged fact if said in legal dispute.

A Response To “Chrysler to Tout New Models in Ads”

March 20th, 2012 by admin

No, Will, I am not infringing on your right to free advice speech. Actually, just the opposite. I am invoking MY right to free speech by questioning you on your ‘viral criticism’.

You ranted, but gave no solution. Is providing a solution a requirement for making a comment? No, but if you are going to engage in a conversation and proudly mention how you include this ‘viral criticism’ into all of your conversations be prepared to be questioned as to what your solution might have been. That is my right.

While I think your plan is valid in a generic sense, I just think it excludes the full context of the situation. The market was crashing, the economy was heading for a depression, millions of people were losing their jobs, and millions more depend on these companies and this industry. The last time they invoked the plan that you are suggesting, the market began its free fall.

I apologize for my smart a$$ comments, but I think it was a fair question to ask what your plan would have been. In this instance, your ‘cut off my nose to spite my face’ plan would not have worked.

Views On “Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior”

March 19th, 2012 by admin

I was raised that way too. I would trade all my As for better social skills as well as more loving parenting skills (for my own kids) in a heartbeat. Actually, I wouldn’t trade my As. I want it all…a perfect me. I want everyone I live with to be perfect. I want everything around me to be perfect…a completely clutter free house, the perfect clothes, the perfect car, the perfect house, etc… Thank goodness Christ found me. Otherwise, I don’t know where I would be today.

Plus, I absolutely hated my mother for what she did to me. As I became an adult, the tables turned and I wanted my mother to be perfect…because that’s what love advice is right..wanting your loved ones to be perfect? My mother was smart, but lacked social intelligence and wisdom. When my mother didn’t do what I tried to teach her to do…to build social intelligence and wisdom…I despised her. I did not have any love for her while she was alive…more of a deep hatred.

Views On “How to Land a Mining Job In Australia”

March 18th, 2012 by admin

As a degreed Mining Engineer who has worked overseas in many countries (including Western Australia) over my career proceed slowly and make sure this is what you want. If you have absolutely no mining experience it will be tough to come in as an expat and get hired. Many people just aren’t suited for this type of work, especially if it is underground mining, which are almost always in isolated places. I’d recommend any potential individual to get a job in mining in the the US and see how they like it …. jobs are still available even in this economy.

And the punishing policy of the US in taxing worldwide income (wages, housing, travel allowances, etc) often make it very expensive to work overseas. You’ll be flabbergasted when you add up foreign office travel advice and domestic tax loads on your income. On the plus side R&R’ing in Perth is sweet…..it has the climate San Diego thinks it has and attractive, friendly girls as a bonus.

Views On “Standard & Poor’s President Resigns”

March 17th, 2012 by admin

The worse the US rating is, the lower the interest rates for US? What are you smoking? Companies with worse credit ratings have higher cost of capital (get charged higher interest rates), that is why junk companies pay 7% and AAA pays 2%. Now, the reason US treasuries rates now have fallen since the downgrade is because stock market is in a correction and money is flying to safety into US Treasuries, pushing down the rate (after all US still is the printer of dollars). Maybe that is why the SP chief got booted, because he is yet another Indian with poor understanding of the fundamentals.

A Response To “UnitedHealth Buys Monarch Doctor Group in Southern California”

March 12th, 2012 by admin

Only two more years until I retire, thank God. I love advice the field of medicine, but it is officially destroyed beyond repair at this point. Even if you have a good PCP you like, they will be retiring as soon as they can. In addition, they won’t see you in the hospital usually, as it is now hospitalists, which has good sides and bad sides, the bad side being they don’t know you when you come in. Every surgery now has to be pre-approved thru the insurer, even to the point that the insurer’s deny virtually all claims the minute they come in, as they know most won’t be appealed, then they make the doctor talk to an insurer prior to approval. Multiply that by however many cases a surgeon has a week, is that how you want your surgeon spending their time? Every chart will be reviewed by an insurer, every medication you are on, your social activities, it will all looked at by many, many non-medical people and decisions made about your care by people who aren’t in the doctor’s office with you. I am going to try to make it two more years, I love the ER where I practice, but Good Luck to all of you who will have to live (or die) with this level of government regulation for the rest of your life.
