Wireless Router Eliminates the Wires?

February 25th, 2009 by admin

In the future we may all have a Wireless Router set up that eliminates wires from our computers all together. They are working on building a computer that uses different blue tooth frequencies (that change like any bluetooth frequency for security) to connect the components inside and outside the computer wirelessly. This will be an interesting set up as it will mean a cleaner looking desktop and components will sit on the desk like a flower vase does, movable without knocking anything over! After this the next thing coming is wireless electricity, how cool would that be! The world is changing…

Wondering About Cat6 Cable

September 11th, 2008 by admin

So lately I’ve been wondering about Cat6 Cable.
I don’t have a ton of cash to spend on techs, so I’m going to have to run the cable myself.
Of course learning about Cat 6 Pinouts is not a big deal. It’s just a minor hassle.
What the heck, I’ll probably enjoy drilling all those holes and running all that cable.
Ok - that’s it for today.

Thoughts On Getting A Wireless Laptop

August 15th, 2008 by admin

Working from home is great and all, but man do I get a nasty case of cabin fever sometimes. I’m thinking of investing in a
wireless laptop so I can get out and be around people more often. Maybe get a little sun and look a little less like gollum.
Wireless Internet For Laptop Computers must be the best thing since sliced bread. Don’t know how I ever got along before. The freedom to work just about anywhere - it’s intoxicating. Meeting a lot more people and getting a lot more sun. All to the good.
Imagine it - a web developer with a tan and a social life. Shocking.
Let me know what you think about all this.

Network printer is a good way of increasing efficiency.

July 19th, 2008 by admin

If the printer is to be used in an office with multiple computer users or you have a home network set up, then you will want a network ready printer. When an office is making do with a single network printer to address all their printing needs, it can be a big problem if the network printer bogs down. Setting up a network printer is a good way of increasing efficiency in the office. There are many considerations that need to be addressed when you are looking to buy a printer, whether for home, small office, or large volume printing. Efficiency within the workplace must always be a guarantee no matter how big or small the office is. No matter how small an office is, if it uses a network printer, the people maintaining this printer has to be sure that it is always working at an optimum level, or else it will be a huge inconvenience for everyone, with the potential to bog down the whole work process for the office. The three most important features are laser printers vs. inkjet printers, the cost of toner or ink, and can the printer be quickly installed onto a network.

Alright, I’m sick of working at home. I’m going to go crazy if I stay boxed up here any longer. Time to get a wireless broadband notebook so I can work in cafes and actually be around other people.

Imagine it - a web developer with a tan and a social life. Shocking.
