After you have your gastric bypass surgery you may end up with a problem.  I'm not talking about an infection, which could happen, I'm talking about rapid weight loss that will leave you with extra skin hanging off of your body.  If you have been morbidly obese for quite some time and you end up losing weight quickly your skin will not be able to stretch back into its original condition.  Many people end up with pounds of skin that are hanging off of their body and must have plastic surgery in order to have it removed.  It is well worth it, however, as you will be able to fit into clothing that you haven't fit into and many years and you will feel truly good about yourself.
