Interior design is simply about designing the spaces in which people work and live. A student upon having completed an interior design bachelor degree will know how to apply artistic principles and techniques to the planning, designing, equipping and furnishing of commercial and residential interior spaces. An interior design bachelor degree course will include instruction on the principles of interior lighting, acoustics, systems integration and color co-ordination; basic structural design; building codes and inspection regulations; computer drafting and graphic techniques; furniture and furnishings and the history of interior design and period styles.
